Pellets are mostly floating.  About 20% of pellets may sink.  Small clumps of unpelletized feed may be present, which can be broken apart easily or allowed to soften and sink, giving your bottom feeders a nibbling treat.
Feed koi and other pond fish daily, preferably at the same times each day, when water temperature is consistently at or above 50º F.  Fish will require more than one daily feeding if there is no other food source in the pond. Do not overfeed. Fish excrete what they eat.  Overfeeding may result in oxygen depletion of water. Always follow feeding guidelines for your size pond and number of fish you are feeding.  Discontinue feeding koi and other ornamental pond fish when water temperature falls to 50º F during the cool feeding season.
